How a Prime reseal works
The clear coat is the layer that takes the wear — the sun, the tyres and the cleaning. Renewing it before it thins out means the colour and flakes underneath stay protected, and the floor starts its next years from full strength.
For Basic and Premium systems, a paid qualifying Prime reseal completed before the initial warranty expires can extend the workmanship cover. Prime will inspect the floor first to confirm it remains suitable for resealing and provide a separate quote before any work is completed.

Full Prime Warranty Terms
Effective from 7 August 2026. These terms apply to epoxy flooring systems installed by The Prime Epoxy and Painting and should be read together with the written quote for your individual project.
Prime’s Workmanship Warranty covers peeling, bubbling or delamination where the issue is caused by a fault in Prime’s workmanship.
If a claim is accepted, Prime will repair or recoat the affected area at no charge. The method and extent of the repair will be determined reasonably after inspection. A repair or recoat does not restart the warranty period. The repaired area remains covered for the balance of the applicable original or validly extended warranty period.
The applicable warranty period is stated in the customer’s written quote and begins on the date the installation is completed.
Acid wash preparation / Prime Basic: 2-year initial Workmanship Warranty. A qualifying Prime reseal can add 2 years, for a total of up to 4 years from the original completion date.
Diamond grinding, primer and one UV-stable clear coat / Prime Premium: 4-year initial Workmanship Warranty. A qualifying Prime reseal can add 3 years, for a total of up to 7 years from the original completion date.
Diamond grinding, primer and two UV-stable clear coats / Prime Ultimate: Full 7-year Workmanship Warranty. No automatic extension applies.
The warranty follows the preparation and coating system described in the written quote, including where Prime provides a tailored system rather than a named package.
For a warranty extension to apply:
The existing floor must remain suitable for resealing.
The floor must be inspected by Prime before the reseal is approved.
The reseal must be quoted and completed by Prime.
The reseal must be completed before the initial warranty period expires.
The customer must follow the curing, care and cleaning instructions provided for the resealed floor.
Resealing is a paid maintenance service. The price will be quoted separately when the service is requested and may change over time in line with material and service costs.
If a qualifying Prime reseal is not completed before the initial warranty expires, the optional extension does not apply. This does not limit any rights or remedies available under Australian Consumer Law.
Some coating products may carry a separate manufacturer warranty. The availability, scope, duration and claim requirements depend on the manufacturer, product and coating system used for the individual project.
Prime does not make or guarantee promises on behalf of a manufacturer.
If Prime suspects a product defect, Prime will provide the available product details and assist the customer with any applicable manufacturer claim process. Customers should contact Prime first so the possible cause can be assessed.
Nothing in this section limits Prime’s obligations or the customer’s rights under Australian Consumer Law.
Prime’s Workmanship Warranty does not cover damage or failure caused by:
Cracks, movement, deterioration or structural problems in the underlying concrete or building.
Moisture, rising damp, hydrostatic pressure, leaks or water entering through or beneath the concrete.
Scratches, chips, gouges, abrasion, impact, dragging objects or normal wear and tear.
Harsh, industrial, corrosive or otherwise unsuitable chemicals or cleaning products.
Misuse, neglect or use outside the purpose and conditions discussed before installation.
Using the floor before the stated curing period has passed.
Failure to follow the preparation, curing, use, cleaning or maintenance instructions supplied by Prime.
Repairs, alterations or additional coatings carried out by someone other than Prime.
Fire, flood, natural disaster or another event outside Prime’s reasonable control.
A product issue that is not caused by Prime’s workmanship, subject to any applicable manufacturer warranty and the customer’s rights under Australian Consumer Law.
Normal variations in the existing concrete substrate are not themselves workmanship failures. Prime does not provide concrete resurfacing or structural repair unless it is expressly included in the customer’s written quote.
To maintain Prime’s voluntary Workmanship Warranty, the customer must:
Provide accurate information about known or suspected moisture, leaks, slab movement, previous coatings and chemical exposure before installation.
Allow the stated curing period to pass before walking, driving or placing heavy items on the floor.
Follow the After-Sheet and all care, cleaning and maintenance instructions provided by Prime.
Take reasonable steps to prevent further damage after discovering a possible issue.
Allow Prime reasonable access to inspect the affected area and, if the claim is accepted, complete the required repair or recoating.
A failure to meet these responsibilities may affect a voluntary warranty claim where it caused or contributed to the issue or prevents Prime from assessing it. These requirements do not exclude or restrict rights available under Australian Consumer Law.
The customer is responsible only for their own incidental costs of contacting Prime and supplying reasonably available information, photos or video.
Prime will not charge the customer for its initial review of a warranty claim.
If an on-site inspection is reasonably required and the claim is accepted, Prime will cover its inspection and rectification costs.
If the available information indicates that the issue is not covered and a chargeable visit is proposed, Prime will disclose any call-out or inspection fee and obtain the customer’s agreement before arranging the visit. No fee will be charged without prior agreement.
This does not limit any rights concerning claim expenses under Australian Consumer Law.
Prime will assess the likely cause of the issue reasonably and in good faith.
If the issue is covered by the Workmanship Warranty, Prime will repair or recoat the affected area within a reasonable time and at no charge to the customer. The appropriate method and extent of the work will be determined reasonably following inspection.
A repair or recoat does not restart the warranty period. The repaired area remains covered for the balance of the applicable original or validly extended warranty period.
If the issue is not covered, Prime may explain the likely cause and, where appropriate, offer a separate paid repair or maintenance quote. The customer is not required to accept that quote.
Nothing in this section limits any remedy the customer may be entitled to under Australian Consumer Law.
The benefits provided by Prime’s Workmanship Warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies available to the customer under law.
